IN THIS LESSON
These are good activities to do to get you in the right "zone" before you start the sequence. They allow you to focus on the main principles of tai chi without having to focus on a sequence. The three main principles are
1: moving smoothly and against a gentle resistance (I imagine myself moving through water);
2: posture and transitioning your weight, keeping yourself upright without leaning into your moves while safely transferring your weight for smooth and controlled stepping; and
3: keeping your mind quiet and your joints loose.
